We are sad to announce that, on February 17, 2026, at the age of 90, James E. Knitt of Armstrong Creek, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As James E. departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved James E.. Though James E. may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Knitt and Myrtle Knitt (Kautz); his wife Dolores Knitt (Renkas) of John's Lutheran Church; his brothers, William Knitt (Shirley), John Knitt (Irene) and Tom Knitt; and his sister-in-law Marlene Renkas.

He is survived by: his children, Barb Knitt (Lisa) and Henry Knitt (Kinga); his grandchild Kaya; and his brother-in-law Joseph Renkas.
