He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Dione Erkkila; his children, Dale Erkkila (Nancy) and Dana Cook (Mark); his granddaughters, Kaitlyn Whitbey (Isaak), Hannah Erkkila, Grace Erkkila and Analisa Erkkila; his sister Ruth Erkkila; and his parents, Violet Erkkila (Nelson) and Walter Erkkila.
