He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gilles and Hedvig J. Gilles (Brodin) of Ashland; his brother-in-law James "Jim" Klobucher; his great-nephews, Nicholas and Isaac Klobucher; and his great-niece Serena Reif.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria "Jeannie" Gilles; his children, William Gilles (Denise), Michele Davis Ashland (Marty), Lisa Gilles, LaMont Gilles (Deneen), Darrell (Marlene), Darren Gilles (Diane) and Angela "Angie" Westerlund (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Lucas, Elizabeth, Ashley, Brittany, James, Merrick, Austin, Andre, Alix, Hannah and Andrew; his great grandchildren, Baylee, Levi and Harmony; his grandchildren, Addy, Myla, Lily, Santino, Clover, Phoenix, Levi and Zuri; and his siblings, Beverly Klobucher, Gary Gilles (Patricia), Kathleen Jones (Jesse), Bruce Gilles (Kathy) and Vivian Sloggy (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
