He was predeceased by: his father Arnold Kuss; his stepfather James Meyers; his parents-in-law, Warren Tiede and Phyllis Tiede; and his brothers-in-law, John and Paul Tiede.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Angela Knigge (Tom) and Adam Kuss (Kristin); his grandchildren, Kinsley, Kyla Knigge, Brycen and Adelyn Kuss; his stepgranddaughter Brianna Knigge; his mother Gloria Meyers (Coenen); his siblings, Steven Kuss (Sally), Kenneth Kuss (Toni) and Susan Iwen (Loren); and his stepsiblings, Craig Meyers (Audra), Julie Vetters (Cory), Timothy Meyers (Shelly) and Wendy Van Den Plas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ryan Funeral Home (305 N 10th St, De Pere, WI 54115). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established with funds going toward organizations dear to David's heart.
