He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence Engel and Velda Engel (Pease); his brothers, William and Stephen; his sister-in-law Patricia Winter; and his nephew Gregg Sekorski.
He is survived by : his wife Cheryl Engel; his children, Teresa Belter (Steve), Brian Engel (Sue), Dawn Dunkel (Ryan) and Dan Engel (Tracy); his grandchildren, Heather Wisniewski (Dane), Jared Belter (Stephanie), Amanda Hart (John), Dylan Willemssen (Amalia), Tyler Engel, Austin Engel, Dakota Willemssen and Logan Engel; his stepgrandchildren, Matt, Joe LaViolette, Rachel and Ryan Dunkel; his great grandchildren, Natasha, Kolton, Makenzie, Hayden and Sawyer; his brothers, Dennis (Beth), Jerry (Lin) and Charles (Susan); and his siblings-in-law, Debra Saxton, Marilyn Meyn, Denise Sekorski (Charles) and Jeff Winter. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution will be given to Central Wisconsin Conservation Club Edgar for the disable hunts and Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, Medford.
