David F. Leonard Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David F. Leonard of Avoca, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 17, 2025 at the age of 71. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David F. Leonard to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis E. Leonard and Angeline C. Leonard (Nihles). He is survived by: his significant other Susan Miess; his children, Matthew Leonard of Mineral Point, Aimee Leonard (John Kole) of Andover, MA and James Leonard (Kirstin Lawinger) of Avoca; his siblings, Rosemary Shrader (Roger) of Milton, James Leonard of Highland, Char VanKeuren (Mike) of Waunakee, Thomas Leonard (Marina) of Tbilisi, Mark Leonard (Tracey) of Viroqua, Donna Washa (Steve) of McFarland, Susan Stamm (Craig) of Evansville, Karen Berg (Ron) of New Glarus, Edward Leonard (Cindy) of Hollandale and Jeff Leonard (Brenda) of Linden; and his grandchildren, Elaine, Kleine, Henry, Vivienne, Kennison and Kieler. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Gorgen-McGinley & Ayers Funeral Home (400 E Grace St, Dodgeville, WI 53533). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at 321 King St, Dodgeville, WI 53533.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Iowa County Cancer Coalition or Upland Hills Hospice.
