He is survived by: his children, David Quam (Becky), Patricia Burke (Michael), Rebecca Phillips, Linda Sager (Steven), Sarah Beck (Eddie), Amy Stuttgen (Chad) and Jennifer Lueck (Jeff); his grandchildren, Karen Ives (Andy), Amanda Nadeau (Doug), Victoria Steinhoff (Ben), Heather Hanson, Joseph Hanson (Laura), Brian Hanson, Ashley Sager, Hailey Sager, Chauntel Nelson (Jeff), Ashley Lomker, Lucy Beck, Jake Beck, Caleb Ontiveros, Sophia Lueck and Autumn Stuttgen; his sister Elaine Elstad; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Campbell, Miriam Hinrichs, John Hinrichs (Donna) and Dave Anderson. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
