He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Schwarze; his mother Hilda Bjorkman; his stepfather Mel Bjorkman; his brother Doug Schwarze; his in-laws, Frederick and Lillian Swerman; his siblings-in-law, Richard Swerman (Mary Ann), Frederick Swerman (Bud) and Joan Friske; and his son-in-law Gary Osuski.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Bergen, Dana Jaquish (Todd) and Denise Osuski; his grandchildren, Jennifer Medina (Lance), David Bergen Jr. (Niki), Steven Bergen (Sahera), Lisa Bergen (Adlai Halleran), Eric Bergen, Karis Bergen (Jerry Strums), Krista Gebhardt, Kade Gebhardt and Ryan Osuski; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Jason, Liam, David and Wilder; his siblings-in-law, Carole Schwarze and Al Friske; and his caregivers, Steve and Karol Parr.
