He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Robert Downie and Loren Schroeder; and his pet Honey. He is survived by: his parents, William "Bill" Downie and Laurie Downie (Schroeder); his brothers, Bryan (Morgan), Brent (Nina), Brock (Alyssa), Brody and Brandon Downie (Makayla); and his grandmothers, Dorothy Downie and Karen Schroeder. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
