She was predeceased by: her parents, William Karg and Sadie Karg (Luebke); her husband Donald H. Johnson; her son Allen Dwars; and her siblings, Roger Karg (Elaine), Dorothy Hellpap (Reginald), Lasetta Buzzell (Harry), Evelyn Leece (Willis), Frederick Karg (Joyce) and Monetta Pohlman (Harvey).
She is survived by: her sons, Rex Dwars (Mary) of Cedar Rapids and Todd Dwars (Robin) of White Plains, MD; her daughter-in-law Jean Scherschel; her grandchildren, Angi Ackard, Jason Dwars, Amity Meyer (Eric), Ryan Dwars (Brooke) and Shawn Sandoval; and her great grandchildren, Aisia, Aidan Ackard, Isabelle, Elliott Meyer, Asher, Everlie Dwars and Egen Sandoval. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or to the UW Carbone Cancer Center, Pancreas Cancer Greatest Need Fund in memory of Darleen Johnson Family / Allen and Ryan Dwars.
