He was predeceased by: his parents, Gust Belter and Lena Belter (Griegol); and his siblings, Melvin, Marvin, Ronald, Dorothy Hill, Ardissee Ulrich, Betty Allen, Marilyn Woodstock and Sharon Bulgrin.
He is survived by: his wife Lorene Greenwood of John's Lutheran Church; his daughters, Becky Roberts (Finch) of Manchester, Michigan, Kari Belter of Madison, Kathy Underwood (Will) of North Freedom and Vicky Belter of Madison; his grandchildren, Grace Holz (Joel) of Hutchinson and Bryce Underwood; and his brother Virgil Belter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (624 East St, Baraboo, WI 53913). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
