He was predeceased by : his parents, Alvin Grosz and Eleanora Grosz (Jahraus); his parents-in-law, Ernest and Dorothy Steinhorst; and his siblings-in-law, James Olson, Erwin Wiest, Gaylon Steinhorst and Weslie Grosz.

He is survived by : his wife Susan Steinhorst of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Victoria Kealy (Ben) of Atlanta, GA, John Grosz (Lisa) of Milwaukee and Christine Olsen (Jamieson) of Batavia, IL; his grandchildren, Eva Grosz, Jack Kealy, Erik, Anna and William Olsen; his siblings, Jan Olson of Fargo, ND, Ann Wiest of Bend, OR and Michael Grosz of Miami, FL; and his in-laws, Shirley Steinhorst of Baraboo, Dennis, Gail Steinhorst of Madison, Connie and Phil Henkel of Rice Lake. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (624 East St, Baraboo, WI 53913). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the St. John's Cemetery.
