He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur E. Opperman and Iola M. Opperman (Trussell); his daughter Mary Opperman; his brother Richard Opperman (Diane); and his brother-in-law Philip Maas.
He is survived by: his wife Wadena Lipke; his children, Beth Cloud (George II) of Posen, IL and Eric Opperman (Jessie) of Jefferson City, MO; his grandchildren, George Cloud III (Lori), Lauren Neumann (Paul) and Alyssa Cloud; his great grandchildren, Eric, Oliver (Cloud), Nathan, Jackson and Hannah (Neumann); and his siblings, Lowell Opperman (Donna) and Shirley Maas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, good friends and a bunch of grand-dogs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Badger Steam & Gas Engine Club.
