She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Fredrick and Verna Fredrick (Pfuehler); her husband Wilbur Bartels; and her sister Lucille Schmidt. She is survived by: her children, Elaine Schehr, Kelly Krueger (Roman) and Jeremy Schehr (Lynette); her grandchildren, Nicholas (Grace) and Kolbe Schehr; her daughter Carol Lester (William); her grandchild Shannon Lester (Rebecca); her great grandchildren, Joshua Krueger (Jessica), Jennifer Kabele (Brian), Emily Thornton (Lindsey), Audrey, Parker, Graham and Cooper Lester; and her great great grandchildren, Bowdyn, Audalyn, Emberlyn, Keelyn Krueger, Payton, McKenna, Rilynn Kabele and Dawsyn Thornton.
