While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Kasten and Leona Kasten (Kasdorf); his wife Joyce Florence Lyon; his son Steven; and his brother Don Kasten.
He is survived by: his niece Patsy Simonds; his sister-in-law Mary Kasten; his niece Terri Neuman (Mike); and his close friend Marilyn Cuff. He is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Ochsner Park Zoo.
