He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatrice Hamilton and Robert Hamilton; his sister Lisa Dillon; his sister-in-law Debra Hamilton; and his nephews, Aaron and Clinton Hamilton.

He is survived by: his wife Terri Hamilton; his daughters, Kristi Moore (Matt) of Phoenix, AZ and Haley Shilts (Jordan) of Lakewood, CO; his grandsons, Brody, Keller, Beckett, Keegan Moore, Liam and Bennett Shilts; and his siblings, Craig Hamilton, Steve Hamilton (Nancy), Nancy Porter (Steve), Sara Steinhorst (Steve) and Matt Hamilton (Leslie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

To honor Scott's lifelong passion for sport, memorials may be made to the family with a designation toward the Baraboo Track and Field Program.
