He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Kirk and Hilma Kirk (Gunderson); his parents-in-law, Ralph and Lucille Brandt (Brummer); his brother-in-law Roger Brandt; his son-in-law Tom Torgrimson; his cousins, Gloria Weghorn and Betty Driscoll; and his brothers, Glenn Sandve and Bob Eckert.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Brandt); his daughters, Prudence Shay and Pamela Jacoby of Barron; his grandchildren, Stephanie Hotujec (Jason) and Kyle Lee (Caitlin); his great grandchildren, Charlotte Hotujec, Saylor and Summit Lee; his in-laws, Beverly Brooke, Linda Scholer, Douglas Brandt (Mary), Klover Schafer (Dennis) and Rexford Brandt (Janet); and his cousins, Tom Gunderson, Bruce Gunderson (Glenna) and Earl Gunderson (Karen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
