He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward F. and Mary K. Sustman (Sturm); his friends, Earl Stutz and Stutz Electric; his wife Annette M. Helbing (Tadych) of Stephen's Lutheran Church; his children, Jon Helbing (Lynn) of Beaver Dam, Sara Hintz (Mick) of Markesan and Luke Sustman (Erin) of Florida; his grandchildren, Brennan Rhea (Josh), Allyson Stobbe (Taylor), Madison Brittain (Kaiden), Cole Sustman and Brayden Helbing; his great grandchildren, Callahan and Monroe Rhea; and his siblings, Mary Kay Goetting, Beth Repnik (Jim), Sue Sustman, Jim Sustman (Jane), Tom Sustman (Cindy) and Nancy Kovalaske (Dave). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church (300 West St, Beaver Dam, WI 53916).
Memorial donations in Chuck's name may be directed to St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church or the UW Carbone Cancer Center.
