It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Claraine Buteyn of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Posthuma and Clara Hoffman Posthuma; her son Thomas A. Buteyn; and her siblings, Eli, Carl, Alvin, Clarence, Jim, Jake Posthuma, Agnes Schmidt, Grace Fietz and Jeanette Tjepkema.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald Buteyn; her daughters, Colleen Miles (Bill), Michelle Lovell (Brian) and Jennifer Petersen (Nate); her daughter-in-law Robin Tarter (Mike); her grandchildren, Jill Moede (Lance), Thomas A. Buteyn (Madeline), Marcus Lovell, Jared Lovell, Claire Petersen and Kayl Petersen; her great grandchildren, Macey and Max Moede; and her sister Sylvia Smith (Clinton). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home (201 E Jefferson St, Waupun, WI 53963). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
