As Dorothy departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Dorothy leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred E. Helbing of Stephen's Lutheran Church; her son Alan; her grandson Jack; and her sisters, Alice Miller, Gladys Harder, Mildred Bischoff and Lorraine Seering.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Helbing of Antigo and Dave Helbing (Kerry) of Sun Prairie; and her daughter-in-law Annette Sustman (Chuck) of Beaver Dam. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church (300 West St, Beaver Dam, WI 53916). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church-Beaver Dam (300 West St, Beaver Dam, WI 53916). A reception will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Cemetery Highland Memory Gardens (N9782 US-151, Beaver Dam, WI 53916).
