He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith A. 'Bud Key and Beatrice Elizabeth Nicholson Key; his sisters, Sharon Gerleman and Linda Gillis; and his father-in-law Joseph Kastenmeier.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kastenmeier Key of Beaver Dam; his children, Ann Biese (David) of Meredith, NH, Michael Key (Ann) of Hazelhurst, WI and Darin Key (Jamie) of St. John, FL.; his grandchildren, Lauren Biese of Salisbury, MA, Alec Biese of Chelmsford, MA, Catherine Key of Germantown, WI and Payton Key of St. John, FL; his great grandchild Maddox McLaughlin of Salisbury, MA.; his stepchildren, Robert Sackett of Eau Claire, WI, Charles Sackett of Madison, WI and Sheri Sackett of Beaver Dam; and his stepgrandson Ian Conlin of Beaver Dam.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Wounded Warriors, Dodge County Humane Society or Hartford Union High School Athletic Department.
