She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Braun and Martha Braun Sr. (Parpart); her husband Kenneth F. Helmer; her daughter Dianna Straseskie; her grandson Sgt. Kirk Straseskie; her sons-in-law, James Martin and Robert Guenterberg; and her siblings, Virginia Braun, Clarence Braun Jr., Charles Braun, Dwayne Bruan, Thomas Braun, Donna Jensen, Dan Braun, John Braun, Dawn Wehner and Vaughn Braun.

She is survived by: her daughters, Debi Guenterberg (David Siers) of Arizonia and Mary Schreiber (Kevin) of Waupun; her grandchildren, Chris Straseskie, John Straseskie (Rebecca), Dr. Ryan Straseski (Lisa Tanzi), Theresa Essmann (Peter), Emily Rodewald, Amanda Messerschmitt (Josh), Heidi Rodewald (Adam Christianson), Kelly Kozikowskie (Jake), Heather Van Caster (Robert) and Derek Schreiber; and her siblings, Norman Braun (Jean), Darryl Braun, Pam Braun, Charlene Selsing and Lila Bahls. She is also survived by many great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
