He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur "Huntz" Hensler and Patti Hensler; and his brothers, Mike and Eddie. He is survived by: his siblings, Debbie Hensler, John Hensler of Beaver Dam, Denise Hensler and Diane LaVine (Jeff); his siblings' children, Daniel Hensler, Nicole Hensler (George Linke), Jared LaVine, Heather Murphy (Jimmy) and Tanner B. Harper; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Michaela Hensler, Joel Linke, Jameson Linke and Isaac Murphy. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
