He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hinterberg and Erma Hinterberg (Woolson); his siblings, Gerald and Helen; and his brother-in-law Alan Gaudynski.
He is survived by: his wife Melay Hinterberg (Vertudez); his daughter Katherine Schmitt; his grandsons, Shaun and Henry Schmitt; his siblings, Diane Gaudynski, Mary Schmidt (Ross) and James; and his brother-in-law Eric Henderson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
