He was predeceased by: his parents, August Butterbrodt and Leona Butterbrodt (Hammer); his siblings, Donald Butterbrodt, Lawrence Barton, Louis Butterbrodt and Helen Hartman; his son-in-law Bill Ritger; and his brother-in-law Jeff Snyder.

He is survived by: his wife Corrine Butterbrodt; his children, Claudia Ritger, Susan Wojahn (William), Kaye Hatzinger of Lakeland, FL, Michael Butterbrodt (Sharon), David Butterbrodt, Green Bay, Andrew Butterbrodt and James Butterbrodt (Jayne); and his grandchildren, Kelly Maddern (Jeff), Jackie Lese (Jason), Jacob Wojahn (Elizabeth), Kara Hatzinger, Matthew Hatzinger (Jamie), Alex Kirby (John), Autymn Jenz (Joe), Aubrey Butterbrodt, Andrea Butterbrodt, Aleah Butterbrodt, Mitchell Butterbrodt, Nathan Butterbrodt (Colette), Spencer Butterbrodt, Morgan Fuhrer (Ian), Abby Gonzo (Will) and Ben Butterbrodt. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
