He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Paul and Charlotte Schwabenbauer (Will); his son Randy; his wife Joan Schwabenbauer; his siblings, Laverne, Dale, Lavaine Dugan (Larry), Valerie Kendhammer (Jerry) and Doris Triplett (Duane); and his brother-in-law Joseph Schwabenbauer (Arlene).
He is survived by: his son Dale Stegen (Victoria); his grandson Dylan Stegen; his stepgrandson Travis Geschke; his stepgreat-grandson Berkley; his siblings-in-law, Jerry Kendhammer, Charles Schwabenbauer (Ruth), Mary Ann Gabrielson and Donna Lapp (Bob); and his stepsisters, Kathleen Williams (Ken) and Diane Niebuhr (Tim).
