She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Mayland and Clara Mayland (Giesking); her son Denny; her husband Wayne Benck; her daughter Barb Bethel; her brothers, Marlin, Ed and Bill Mayland; her close friend Randy Stevens; and her great grandchild Isla Rae Charles.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Dakovich (Richard "Beaky") of Des Moines, IA, Kenny Benck (Lorna) of Bay City, Gene Benck (Andrea) of Hager City and Kaylene Nielsen (Dominic Hamilton) of Hastings; her brothers, Rich Mayland (Linda) of Florida, Jim Mayland (Bonnie) of Iowa and Henry Mayland (Deb) of South Dakota; and her pet Phane. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-laws, cousins and several nieces and nephews.
