He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hubing and Sylvina Hubing; his son Joseph; his sons-in-law, James Krier and Glenn DeRuyter; his grandson Matthew Krier; his siblings, Donald Hubing (Harriet), Emil Hubing (Camilla), Robert Hubing (Lucille), Joseph Hubing (Eleanor), John "Junior" Hubing (Elaine), Melvin Hubing, Genrose Brabender (Alex), Agnes Bahr (Frank), Regina Augustine (Fred), Kathleen Bares (Ken), Norbert Hubing (Ester) and Gertrude Fieber (Ed); and his brother-in-law Gene Bares.

He is survived by: his wife Arlene Soborowski; his children, Steven Hubing (Susan), Carol Krier and Jane Donald (John); his grandchildren, Jason DeRuyter (Heather), Travis DeRuyter (Sue), Spencer Krier (Amanda), Olivia Gasser (Max) and Kelly Hubing (Eladio Perez); his stepgranddaughters, Brittany Demaske (Jay) and Mindy Bartczak (Mitch); his great grandchildren, Allie, Sawyer, Laila, Holden, Aiden, Gordon and Gus; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Madison, Morgan, Dex, Maes, Lilly, Jordy, Ben and Dane; his sister Mary Bares; and his sister-in-law Sandra Hubing. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to Belgium Fire and Rescue or the Belgium American Legion Post.
