She was predeceased by: her parents, Alois Weiland and Josephine Weiland; her husband Cyril Schmitz; her brother James Weiland; and her grandson Tyler.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Schmitz (Tom) of Texas, Mark Schmitz of Connecticut, Patrick Schmitz (Sara) of Nevada, Gary Schmitz (Cathy) of Texas, David Schmitz of Arizona and Jill Bares (Tony) of Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Megan, Gregory, Erica, Addison, Garrett, Andria, Ryan, Simon and Delaney; her great grandchildren, Naomi, Noah, Josephine, James III, Ethan and Ginny; her sister Joann Anzia of Colorado; and her siblings-in-law, Evelyn Walber and John Schmitz.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home (171 N Royal Ave, Belgium, WI 53004). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
