We announce the death of Ernest W. Mabis Jr. in Belleville, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 94. Ernest will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Mabis and Dorothy Mabis (Rowlands); his grandson Cole; and his siblings, William Mabis and Esther Hanson.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanine Fritz; his children, Sharon Lasure (Tim) and Jeff Mabis (Tammy); his grandchildren, Brittany Brunker (Adam) and Caleb Mabis (Stephanie); and his sister Shirley Smith. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Grace United Methodist Church, Duppler-Smith American Legion Post #460, or the Sugar River Senior Center.
