He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Hying and Coletta Hying (Lins); his wife Luella Bongard (Berg); his brother Ken Hying; his siblings-in-law, Karl Miller, Alan Bartels, Bill Hinkle and Celene Hying; and his sisters, Marilyn and Catherine.
He is survived by: his sons, Rick Bongard (Debbie), Mike Bongard, Duane Bongard (Kay) and Andrew Hying; his grandchildren, Travis (Chelsea), Kyle, Dylan (Nikkoleen) and Lori Ann; his siblings, Jim Hying (Germain), Donne Hying, Bernard "Butch" Hying (Cindy), Gloria Miller, Carol Bartels and Diane Hinkle; and his sister-in-law Gert Hying. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home (109 Greenway Cross Ct, Belleville, WI 53508). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
