He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Kosmeder and Frances Kosmeder (Podlaszewski); his wife Marilyn A. Kosmeder (Cockroft); and his siblings, John, Jerome, Paul, Robert and Evelyn.

He is survived by: his children, Lawrence Kosmeder (Jayne), Maryann St (Don), Barbara Storkson (Darrell) and Jane Vaughan (Thomas); his grandchildren, Rebecca Gruenhagen (Joe), Amy Storkson (Tony), Wendy Frydenlund (Jeffrey), Kimber Blum, Sarah Norpel (Troy), Heidi Walter (Jeffery), Annie Popkes, Heather Vandermeulen (Michael), Paul Vaughan (Jennifer), Rachel Syftestad, Rebecca Mauch (Michael), Robert Kosmeder (Emily), William Kosmeder (Jensena) and Maria Sonnack (Shawn); and his sister-in-law Donna Cockroft. He is also survived by twenty-seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
