He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Buss (Popp); his wife Judy; his father Homer Buss; his in-laws, Gib and Anna Ludlum; his grandchildren, Chris Schaaf and Michelle Buss; his son-in-law Dave Ballweg; and his brothers-in-law, Dave Graber, Tom Forbes and George Calvert.
He is survived by: his children, Sue Farrey (Gary) of Belmont, James Buss (Susan) of Madison, Barb Brickl (Jeff) of Prairie du Sac, Bill Buss (Shirley) of Platteville and Steve Buss (Sandy) of Cross Plains; his sister Dorothy Calvert of Oconto; and his sister-in-law Pat Forbes of Mineral Point. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church (346 S Mound Ave, Belmont, WI 53510).
In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
