He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred (Allen) and DeStefano Knights of St. Paul's Church; his brother Jim; his sister-in-law Sally; his in-laws, Donald and Cora Gardner; and his brother-in-law David Tarrolly.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Gardner; his children, Timothy and Jennifer (Phil Schomber); his grandchildren, Colin, Teagan, Kailyn (Mason Lopez) and Madigan; his great grandchild Ronin Lopez; his sister Ann Tarrolly; and his in-law Diane Gardner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium (2355 Cranston Rd, Beloit, WI 53511). A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin.
