He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard DeMontigny and Ruth DeMontigny (Edwards); his former wife Grace York; his brother Kenneth DeMontigny; and his stepdaughter Sherry Hendricks.
He is survived by: his wife Ardie; his children, Billy (Cyndalee), Kenneth, Leonard, Louis, Debra, Steven DeMontigny (Mary) and Mary Ann Ferguson (Jim); his stepdaughter Laurie Williams (Scott); and his siblings, Donna Bergner, Jennie Smith, James DeMontigny and Joan DeMontigny. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
