He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Otto and Lila Otto Jr. (Genung); his sister Paula Wells; and his siblings-in-law, John, Virginia Pavelich and James Pavelich.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Otto of Beloit, WI; his sons, Scott Otto (Kelly) of Madison, WI and Brian Otto of Beloit, WI; his grandsons, Kyle Otto (Ashley Martin) of Walworth, WI and Hunter Otto of Beloit, WI; and his sister-in-law Diane Lovaas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Carl's name to Beloit Regional Hospice.
