He was predeceased by: his mother Carol Laursen (Copeland); and his father-in-law Roy Zamecnik. He is survived by: his father Paul Laursen (Carol); his wife Mia A. Zamecnik; his children, Timothy Laursen (Michelle), Katrina Carlyle (Dylan) and Brianna Laursen; his grandchildren, Casey, Calvin, Colton, Kalani and Brynn; and his siblings, Ann Pascavis (Mike) and Brian Laursen (Carrie). He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
