He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Dawald and DeVere Dawald; his sister Debbie George (George); and his parents-in-law, Royal Taylor and Lena Phyllis Taylor.

He is survived by: his wife Marielln Taylor-Dawald (Taylor); his children, Nicholas Dawald and Ashley Taylor (Dawald); his granddaughter Liliana Elrod; and his sister Cindy Shackelford (Shackelford). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and beloved friends.
