He was predeceased by: his father Lester Grenawalt; his grandparents, Chester and Louisa Cox; his mother Marcella Cox-Grenawalt; his stepparents, JoAnne Grenawalt-Punzel and Otto Punzel; his brother Dennis Grenawalt; his father-in-law Edward Engen, Jr.; his uncles, Howard Cox and Everett Cox; and his granddaughter Bridget Crull.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn M. Engen; his children, Dawn Berth, Marla Grenawalt, Alissa (Sean Crull), Krista White (David) and David J. Grenawalt; his grandchildren, Evan Berth (Anna Curtis), Dylan White (Ashley), Cierra White, Haley White, Daveta White, Kamden White, Patrick Crull (Ashley Janes) and Libby Crull; his siblings, Dean Grenawalt (DeAnn) and Cathy Miller (Jake); his siblings-in-law, Karen Hackett (Jack), Julie Rumage (Gary) and Terry Engen; and his mother-in-law Irene Engen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Newark Town Hall (9528 W Beloit Newark Rd, Beloit, WI 53511). The Grenawalt farm was honored as a Century Farm in 1970 and celebrated 150 years of continuous family ownership in 2020, a milestone that, unfortunately, could not be publicly recognized at the Wisconsin State Fair due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to Agrace Hospice or the Town of Beloit Fire Department.
