He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Richard "Dick" Terwilliger; his father-in-law Eugene Elwood; his great-nephew Leroy Stocker; and his great-niece Arianna Fobes. He is survived by: his wife Linda Gilbert; his daughter Kirsten Anderson; his granddaughter Ashley Stocker; his great grandchildren, Carter, Lilly and Luca; his siblings, Nancy Terwilliger and Rich Stocker (Louise); his mother-in-law Joyce Elwood; his in-laws, Betty Layton, David Gilbert, Merri Boos (Mark), Charles Elwood (Tina) and Julie Elwood; his extended family, Doug Mahlum (Patricia) and Wanda Mahlum (Pete Nucifero); his friend Rob Appleby; his pet Charlee; Scott and Darcy Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Mike's name to the Messiah Food Pantry.
