He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert McCoic and Erma McCoic (Bulin); his former wife Patricia McCoic; and his brother Francis McCoic. He is survived by: his wife Karen McCoic (Starks); his son Brian McCoic (Samantha); his stepchildren, Benjamin Stricklin and Whitney Stricklin; and his brother Richard McCoic. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
