He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Engels (Barbara) and Florence Engels (Calkin); and his brothers, Robert "Bobby" and William "Bill". He is survived by: his wife Diane Engels; his daughter Jennifer Staggs (Buck); his grandchildren, Hannah and Ashley; and his sisters, Susan Phillips (Ray), Sharon Vidali (Giorgio) and Sarah Wagener (Rich). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
