He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertrum Berg and Frances Berg (Kastenmeier); his wife Grace Kostopolos; his sisters, Phyllis Sholes and Mary Ann Rollette; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Armstrong, George Kostopolos, Bob Rollette, Florence Armstrong, Katherine Kostopolos and Marianne Berg.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Edwards (Steve), Bert Berg, Sandra Berg (Tim Reynolds) and James Berg; his grandchildren, Misty Jones (Chad Buzzo), Danny Schmuck, Cody Wedig (Dulaney), Maicen Berg and Shania Berg; his great grandchildren, Ivana, Raelynn and Asher; and his brother John "Jack" Berg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
