He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Nickel and Ruth Nickel (Streeter); and his sister Jean. He is survived by: his children, Sandra Sorenson (Mark) of Beloit, WI, Steve Nickel (Lorrie) of Rio Rico, AZ and Sherry Nickel (William Heck) of Henderson, NV; his grandchildren, Tyler, Joel (Abby), Olivia (Nick), Dan (Bridget), Paul (Haley) and Robb (Leann); and his great grandchildren, Anikyn, Xander, Kayden and Ellie.
Memorials may be given in his name to the Rock County Humane Society.
