He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Mercado and Herlinda Silva Mercado (Cardenas). He is survived by: his wife Maria Teresa Silva; and his brothers, Abel Silva (Chayo) and Abran Silva (Tomasa). He is also survived by seven children; 22 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
