He is survived by: his wife Tanya Papendorf; his sons, Ben Papendorf (Billie Jo Erickson), Sam Papendorf (Kylie Denzer) and Luke Papendorf (Shannon Derrick); his grandson Chase Papendorf (Simon); his siblings, Paula Gerhardt, Brady Papendorf (Bonnie), Jeff Papendorf (Becky) and Laura Papendorf; and his brother-in-law Todd Peterson (Betty). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
