He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sala and Dorothy Sala (Norris); his wife Joan Grubb; his daughter Barbara; his son-in-law Richard "Mike" Garren; and his grandchildren, Carrie Lawrence, Elijah Tracy and Jonah Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Lauder (James) of Rockford, IL and Carolyn Roberts (Michael) of Janesville, WI; his grandchildren, Jeremy Tracy (Christina), Stephanie Wilson, Meagan Campbell (Justin Anderson), Trevor Campbell and Crystal Lawrence; and his great grandchildren, Kendall, Caitlyn Tracy and Karter Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
