He was predeceased by: his daughter Mariah El-Amin; his grandson Josiah of Washington; his grandparents, Elizabeth and Johnny Hudson; his cousins, Jesse and Monae; his uncles, Robert Hudson and Albert Hudson; and his close friend Phyllisa Steward.

He is survived by: his parents, Millie Hudson and Oscar Thomas; his wife Manar El-Amin; his stepfather Steven Walker; his children, Marajha El-Amin, Ayden Hudson, Elijah Hudson, Artel Hudson, Dariel of Washington, Cemetria of Washington, Jasmine of Washington, Janala Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson and Justice Johnson; his grandchildren, Giovanni McDonald, Alivia of Washington, Anthony of Washington, Jhacari Johnson and De'Mani Johnson; his siblings, Tifanie Hudson, Earl Hudson, Messena Hudson and Albert Hudson; and his parents-in-law, Melody Casey (Anthony) and Isaam El-Amin. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
