He is survived by: his grandchildren, Sarah Johnson (Christopher), Mark Mueller, Rebecca Daniels (Tim), Emily Hudson (Garien), Tara Christen (Craig) and TJ Fields (Chelsea); his great grandchildren, Alexis, Allison, Preston, Brady, Cameron, Jackson, Ty, Abigail, Austin, Harper, Lucy and Harry; his sisters, Rosemary Pakes and Helen Sweeney; his son Duwayne; his son-in-law Terry Fields; and his siblings, Alfred, Frank, Bernard Jr., Joseph, Cecilia Schneider, Johanna Cash, Catherine Scott and Josephine Beilenberg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to OLA student aid fund.
