James E. Carroll Obituary
James E. Carroll age 76 of Beloit died Thursday October 12, 2023, at Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born October 28, 1946, to Thomas and Bernice (Weinberg) Carroll in Beloit. Jim graduated from Beloit Catholic High School, class of 1965. He married Delores Bolly on September 4, 1965, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Beloit.
Jim was a mechanic and a farmer, who had a passion for working on John Deere tractors. He was known for always helping and educating those around him. "Work Smart, Not Hard" were words he taught and lived by. Jim was known for his ability to build anything, often inventing his own tools to accomplish what he set out to do.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Delores Carroll, children: Kathy (David) Olson and Judy Carroll, sister-in-law Robin Bolly, and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Bernice, his brother Steve, and sister Sarah.
Jim's. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday October 18, 2023, in the BRIAN MARK Funeral Home, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit WI with Deacon Jim Davis officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday in the Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday in the Funeral Home from 12 Noon until the time of service. Interment to follow the service in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead.
